Welcome to my scrollsaw pattern for my windswept trees .I don’t work much from patterns myself when making mine, but have produced what I hope is a manageable pattern which is a composite of several of my past creations so the pattern will differ from my example photos. This is produced for 1/2"-3/4" thick hardwood timber .

Scale trees to sizes between 6.5"-10" high depending on preference and available timber. If you going to scale larger, then stick to the central lines.

I advise cutting from at least 1/2"(14mm) thick timber for smaller sizes( thicker for preference) and keeping your chosen blade to the minimum practicable to ensure tight joints.

Shaping individual pieces after cutting  with a linisher, drum/belt sander gives the whole piece more sculptural interest. Don't over think the sculpting, I just go a bit nuts and fine finish by hand after!

Addition of a thin base cut from a the same timber may be necessary for balance, depending on timber thickness.
